Igrene has entered into a cooperation agreement with Norwegian SEID AS, that has a technology for carbon-dioxide free and energy efficient pyrolysis of methane into carbon and hydrogen. Together with SEID, we intend to develop a demonstration plant at out production site outside Mora to process the methane that can be produced from our well.

Together with scientist from Chalmers Technical University we carry out measurements of natural methane emissions from the Siljan Ring. Results are expected during autumn 2024.

During the period when Igrene examined the bedrock of the Siljan area we cooperated with a range of academics and other experts to map the hydrocarbon and other resources present in the area. These experts include geologists and stratigraphists from Uppsala University, Lund University, The Geological Institute of Northern Bavaria and Ohio State University. They have all visited Igrene on site and examined our drill cores.

French Petroleum Institute IFPEN has carried out analyses of water and ground samples.
